About the Flagpole Radio Café
Now in its tenth season, The Flagpole Radio Café features a special guest artist as well as an engaging mix of music by the Flagpole Radio Café Orchestra and radio style comedy sketches by the Flagpole Shakespeare Repertory Theatre. The ensemble comprises musicians Jim Allen, Rick Brodsky, Howie Bujese, Cadence Carroll and Francine Wheeler, as well as actors Martin Blanco, Barbara Gaines, Kate Katcher, and David Wheeler. Each show also features a guest artist including luminaries such as Loudon Wainwright III, Livingston Taylor, Tom Chapin, Peter Yarrow, Ramblin’ Jack Elliot, The Slambovian Circus of Dreams, Jonathon Edwards, Sloan Wainwright, Elisabeth Von Trapp, Christine Lavin, Aztec Two-Step, Deborah Henson-Conant, Patty Larkin, and Mary Fahl.
Our Mission
The mission of Flagpole Productions Foundation, Inc. is to produce and present excellent performing arts events that engage, inspire and entertain audiences. Central to this effort is producing the ongoing variety show called The Flagpole Radio Café.
